LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Reality TV star Kim Kardashian filed for divorce on Monday, only 72 days after marrying basketball player Kris Humphries luxury wedding that was advertised as "Fairytale".
Kardashian, 31, star of the show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" has filed for divorce in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences.
"After careful consideration, I decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands that this was not an easy decision. I had hoped that marriage was forever, but sometimes things do not work as expected. We are still friends and want each other the best, "Kardashian said in a statement.
The court documents Kardashian asked the court to confirm that the jewels and other personal items, and earnings before and during marriage is considered separate property. It also notes that the couple has a prenuptial agreement.
